The Grand Park Royal is one of our favorite resorts that provides for an affordable stay with all the amenities you would expect in an all inclusive resort. The resort has 3 pools each with a swim up bar. The main large pool is in the garden area of the property (seen in photo below). There is an walk way through an underpass that takes you to the private lagoon/beach area. On either side of the lagoon beach area are the other two smaller pools with beautiful views of the caribbean. There are often cruse ships parked just off to the left of the resort that sometimes block the caribbean views. The cruse ships are massive and can be cool to look at as well. I really don’t mind having the ships parked there. There are two whirlpools near the two smaller pools but they are not heated and we generally we do not used them very much.

There is an on premises dive shop with a dock (seen left in photo below) where dive boats depart a couple of times a day (excluding Sundays). Shore dives can also be make from the resort. Snorkeling is available just off the beach. When I’m not diving I’m usually snorkeling just out in front of the resort.

A recent addition is the coffee & ice cream shop. I’ve spent many mornings there sipping my favorite brew as well as afternoons after spending time in the sun cooling down with ice cream.

One last thing, when you get to the resort and begin your check in process do not get involved with the individuals that are carrying clipboards and want to talk to you about your stay. They are part of the sales staff trying to get you to sign up for the time share presentation. If you want to potentially get fee stuff then go ahead but to me it’s not worth the time away from enjoying my vacation.
