San Francisco Wall

Depth: 45’ – 120’

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced

The reef begins at the old southern end of the San Francisco Beach and is about half mile in length. This area usually has a medium current which allows for healthy reef growth. The wall edge starts at about 50’ and is a steep slope to the deep. This half mile reef is broken into three sections separated by about 60 meters of sandy bottom.

San Francisco Wall is one of the shallowest wall dives which allows for extended bottom time. This reef is loaded with marine life, spectacular coral and brightly colored sponges. You drift dive between 35’ and 50’ to enjoy the many beautiful sites of this reef including green moray eels, large grouper, angel fish and clown fish. These many sites make San Francisco Reef a great spot for marine photography. San Francisco reef will provide encounters with nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, crabs, lobsters, and large schools of yellow grunts.
